Jigsaw puzzle framing

What better way to showcase the jigsaw puzzle you spent hours on, than to have it professionally framed and hung on your wall? With the right frame, your jigsaw puzzle can be transformed into a beautiful display piece. We have framed puzzles of different shapes and sizes and you can choose from hundreds of frames to find the design that will best suit your aesthetics.

Bringing your jigsaw puzzle to us

If you are a jigsaw puzzle enthusiast, you can consider buying a puzzle mat which you can use to roll your piece up for easy transportation. Otherwise, you can sandwich them between two rigid cardboards, secure the jigsaw puzzle by taping the sides of the cardboards tightly, before bringing it down to us. We will take care of the gluing for you.

Framing methods

Direct framing is a method where the frame goes directly around the piece, no matboards are used and the glazing will rest directly on the jigsaw puzzle. This is the most economical form of framing but is not the most protective method because with our humid climate, water may condense on the inside of the glass and mould may occur and get transferred to the piece.

Our recommended method is to frame with matboards. This is a more popular framing option where the matboard provides visual breathing space around your jigsaw puzzle and the result is more aesthetically pleasing. Having a matboard will also lift the glass away from the print to prevent mould transfers from the glass to the piece over time.

To add a sense of depth, we can have the jigsaw puzzle float mounted within a shadow box frame for a modern look. This framing method is a good option for jigsaw puzzles that are odd shaped.
